Calvary Baptist Church is a Bible Believing, Independent Fundamental Baptist Church. All of our beliefs are based in the word of God, which is our only source for faith and practice.
Calvary Baptist Church believes: That the Bible is the word of God, that it was plenary inspired in the original manuscripts, and preserved for us throughout all generations by the providential hand of God. That it is inerrant in its content and relevant in every age. We use the King James Version in all our teaching and preaching as we believe that it is the best English language translation for today.
Psalm 12:6-7; 2 Timothy 3:16; 1 peter 1:21
Calvary Baptist Church Believes: That there is only one God, yet triune in nature and being, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Co-equal in power, essence and Glory, and that he is eternally existent having no beginning or end. That he is the creator of all that we see in six literal 24 hour days approximately 6000 years ago. And that all of creation both in heaven and earth where created by him at this time.
Mark 12:29; John 4:24; Psalm 135:6; Deut 6:4; 2 Cor 13:14, Acts 5:3-4 Genesis 1; John 1:1-3
Calvary Baptist Church Believes: That Jesus Christ is the Eternal Son of God, Born of the Virgin Mary. That he live a perfect sinless life and became the perfect sacrificial Lamb of God and died on the cross for the sins of all men, paying with his blood the price for all men sufficient for all time. And that he arose again the third according to the scripture. That he ascended into heaven where he sits at the right hand of God the father. That he will return again to claim his own and to reign on the throne of his father David for a thousand years.

Calvary Baptist church Believes: That the Holy Spirit is the third person of the trinity, that He indwells every believer at the moment of their salvation and seals them unto day of Jesus Christ. That he will convict the world of sin, Righteousness, and Judgment. That he restrains evil in this world. He is responsible for dispensing Spiritual gifts to the individual believers and to the church. We also believe that the sign gifts of tongues etc. are not for today and have been done away since the finishing of the New Testament. We do believe that God is sovereign and can and does answer the prayers of his saints. That the bible teaches his restraining power will be removed from the earth causing the Man of Sin to be revealed.

Calvary Baptist Church Believes: That man was created by a divine act of God's hand in a perfect state. That woman was created on the same day and was taken out of man to be his helpmeet. That through a willful act of disobedience he sinned against God and plunged all men into sin. Man is now an enemy of God and is alienated from him and that he is now under the Wrath of God. That man can do nothing to save himself, and is excluded from God's presence for all eternity. Man is responsible to respond to God's call on his life and to accept the Salvation that he is being offered by grace through faith.
Genesis 1:26-27; 3:1-24; Rom 5:12; Romans 1:18; 3:19-23; 4:4; 7:18; Mark 7:21-23; Acts 16:31; Romans 10:16; 2 Thess 1:8
Calvary Baptist Church Believes: That Salvation was purchased for all by the precious blood of Christ Jesus, and given as a gift of grace to all who will by faith believe and repent of their sin. Those who accept, receive eternal life and will spend eternity with God first in heaven and then on the new heaven and earth. Those who reject will spend eternity in the lake of fire, separated from God eternally. That man because of his sin is separated from God and can do nothing to save himself, he is totally dependant on God for salvation. Faith in God is how the saints of all time have been saved.
Eph 2:8-9; Titus 3:5; 1 Peter 1:18-19; Rev 20:15; Rom 4:13-16; Jn 5:24; 10:27-29; 1 Peter 3:1-5 Romans 10:9:9,10,13; Romans 6:23; Rom 3:9; Rom 5:8.
Calvary Baptist Church Believes: That the Church is the bride of Christ, that it is made up of saved believers. That it is a autonomous entity which is self governing answerable only to its head and that is Christ Jesus. That the purpose is for the fellowship of the saints in edifying of the saints and seeking the lost for Christ; seeing them saved and in training them. That the Church has two offices that of Pastor and Deacon.
Acts 2:42; Eph 4:11-12; Matthew 28:19-20 1Tim 3
Baptism and Lord's supper
Calvary Baptist Church Believes: That there are only two ordinances of the church; Baptism and the Lord's Supper.
We Practice baptism of the believers by immersion representing Christ's death burial and resurrection, in our death to sin and resurrection into new life in Christ Jesus our Lord. That baptism is only a symbol of this act of completion of our salvation by Christ's death on the cross. That it is not part of our salvation but only a witness to the world of the change that has occurred within.
We also practice the Lord's supper as commanded to remember the Lord's death until he comes. We believe that there is no physical transformation in the bread and wine but that it is only a symbol that causes us to remember what he has done in the breaking of bread we remember his broken body, broken for all mankind in the drinking of the wine (Grape Juice) we remember his blood shed for the forgiveness of sin.
1 Cor 11; John 3:22; Acts 8:32; Rom 6:3-4; Heb 9:24, 26-28
Calvary Baptist Church believes: That the bible teaches what will be in the end times we believe in a pre-tribulation rapture of the church, where we will be taken to heaven to be with the Lord forever, that at that time we will receive our reward at the Judgment Seat Of Christ and the marriage supper of the Lamb. After that event things will unfold on earth with the rise of the Anti-Christ, and the unholy peace covenant with Israel for seven years, this event will usher in the tribulation period in which God's wrath will be poured out on mankind. At the end of this time we will return with Christ who will defeat the Satan possessed Anti-Christ and usher in his kingdom and shall reign on the throne of his father David for 1000 years. That at the end of this time Satan will be released from the pit and will ultimately be defeated and cast into the lake of fire ushering in the final Judgment of unrighteous man from every age at the white throne judgment, where they will be without excuse and will be cast into the lake of fire. That the righteous will then pass into eternity on the new heaven and earth, and will live with God forever.

We do however co-operate with churches and organizations that are of like faith and practice. We do however help any individual in need, when possible, regardless of their religious affiliations.
